Introduction to OSU
Established in 1996, Outer Sound University began
providing free education to those seeking music industry know-how, with the hope of
populating the world with a new generation of people "doing it on their own". OSU strives to
become the Ivy League of music education. Without all of the snobbery of course. Hey!
At least we got the Ivy part down.

Most of OSU's articles were graciously donated by music industry vets and pros.
Due to the work of these individuals and businesses, we have managed to build up a pretty meaty library. However, this
is still the beginning. After we get all the basics covered, we plan to branch out to cover even more specific, interesting, and
useful topics. The exciting thing about our industry is how rapidly it changes, and OSU plans to keep up with those changes!!!
